A little leisure -- the kids' way

I decided to let the kids figure out what to do with the rest of our afternoon today... I was in the mood for something different but had no clue what we could do -- so I just asked them to come up with something and I'd join in.

Together we built a clubhouse out of cardboard boxes... And we had a blast. Yes - the gnats were biting and the grass was wet... but you know something? That was okay. Our finished clubhouse has only slightly more living space than a FEMA travel trailer and it needs a little 'sprucing up' as far as paint and landscaping... We've had plenty of practice around the house with that sort of thing though - so we should be okay.

George & William have decided that giant boxes are the best toys ever invented. (They aren't alone -- see: Cardboard box added to toy hall of fame ) As for me -- I have decided to let the kids plan my afternoons a little more often.

George peeks through a skylight...

William & Yvonne welcome me at the main entrance...
