I woke up this morning to find the dresser I had left on the front porch to dry covered in a heavy layer of dew. It was so wet that even the cats had no desire to walk on it...
I wasn't sure how it would hold up, but I crossed my fingers and left it to dry out yet again. (Rather than panicking and trying to wipe it dry -- who knows what I would do to the varnish...) I mean, come on... I'm saving it from a record-breaking tidal surge -- just how much damage could a little water do?
My gamble paid off and I returned home this afternoon to find a nice (and dry) freshly refinished dresser on the front porch.
I won't be taking any more chances though -- and I'll be sure Dave can squeeze in the time to help me get the thing indoors (and out of the reach of kitties) tonight. :)

I give up trying to leave comments, all that ever happens is I get this message:

But, I did try about 20 times to say WOW it's beeyoootiful....one must wonder why I have to get that across so badly, but I know you will understand. I just want my comments to go through! Darn Brownies!
