As I was putting all the pipes back in place I noticed a piece of cardboard taped to the bottom of the brand new sink. I thought it was a cover to protect the sink during transport and installation so I tore it off and set it on the counter. A few hours later Anita came in and asked what it was. It was something men never use...instructions! Instructions for installing a Blanco undermount sink. Instructions that have not been followed again, again.
And what do those instructions say? See below!

The important thing to note in the unfollowed instructions no matter what language you don't follow them in is that the word clips appears several times. Clips that are screwed into the bottom of the counter to hold say...a sink full of water with a turkey floating in it. What is actually holding the sink up right now is broken up floor tile glued in place.
I have yet to tell Lowe's of my discovery. I feel like I should, not out of anger or malice, but in an effort to improve kitchen sink installations across the coast and it wouldn't hurt Lowe's bottom line to avoid two and three warranty claims per job.
Maybe with the intervention of St. Jude (the patron saint of lost or desperate causes) the sink will hold through this holiday season but I suspect I will be sitting here a year from now typing a post just like this one again, again.

I too was having the same problem with the plumbing. For sinks I would always advise seek a better opinion
Giggle. I'm sorry, Dave.. I couldn't resist approving the spam comment given its ridiculousness.
