Since all I managed to do this week was hang a few things on the walls.... AND because the camera finally made it... I thought I'd share a couple pictures from the last few days.

As you can see from this first photo -- I didn't even have the presence of mind to make it all nice and remove the book on the desk -- let alone actually compose the shot.... So what you get is a crooked and poorly lit picture of my magnolia painting. Congratulations.

Considering how poorly done the magnolia painting photo was -- I'm sure by now you aren't expecting a lot more for the rest of the post... And that's good.... Because my cross sconces are blurry and it's admittedly a terrible photo all-around... But the point here is that I said I attached stuff to our walls this week - and this terrible photo is proof.

Speaking of proof.. Here's more proof that my heart's just not in it. The purpose of this photo was to show the fruit painting in the dining room (yes.. our dining room currently sports a pool table... okay. we get it.) which Mom was kind enough to let us use. See that stuff peeking out from behind the table - just below the painting? That's home repair remnants. We have such remnants throughout the house -- boxes full of paint brushes... old paint cans... scrap wood... test boards... leftover flooring... carpet samples.... It's everywhere. And I won't miss it when it's gone. As a matter of fact - I can say with certainty that when the house is totally done, my reward will be not having to deal with these little piles of home improvement paraphernalia anymore.
Since this post was supposed to be about wall-hangings AND the new camera.. I just want you to know that the above pictures are totally due to operator-error and have nothing to do with the equipment... Hopefully I'll have a few 4th of July pictures from the day to prove it.
