So much for weekend plans...

Yay! Severe thunderstorms.... 58 mph winds, 3/4 inch or larger hail, OR tornadoes. Great menu selection. I'll take the winds and the smaller hail, thanks. This is exactly what our leaky roof needs. Maybe if we're lucky the 58 mph winds will take off a good portion of shingles today and save the crews the work when we (hopefully) get started on roof replacement in a few weeks.

The view from the front porch this morning:

(I probably shouldn't have watered the lawn yesterday.)

And the view from the back porch a few minutes ago:

This reminds me to add 'repair raingutters' to our to-do list. (And maybe 'buy bilge pump' for the backyard.)

It's raining now so that we'll have good weather for the Carter Work Project with Habitat for Humanity in a week :-)

At least I *hope* that's what's happening...

The back yard is lovely, everything is so nice and green. Loved the tricycle sitting in the rain. Hopefully you aren't going to get anything worse than the rain.

@Gene - I hope so too! I'll be praying the weather cooperates with you guys. :)

@sandy - Yvonne was so upset with me when she saw her tricycle out there! :)

And thankfully -- the weather cleared up quite nicely by about 2pm today. Woo!
