But there's no rest for the weary around here. The girls were well-rested and ready to be entertained. Therefore, we were forced to get out of bed eventually. And since we were already up we took a couple of hours to throw out rusty stuff we found in the garage and plant some mums from last fall that survived the winter. Dave also finally planted the rose bushes he bought for me last Mother's Day (!!!) and shovelled some mud around in our swampy backyard while the girls played in the sandbox.
By 1:30 pm I finished patching nail holes and applying the basecoat in the foyer as well.

We did other things - but I can't seem to recall the order at the moment. There was laundry, making tacos for lunch, installing a new shower head in the standup shower, dropping George's old bike off at St. Vincent de Paul, giving the girls baths, replacing an electrical outlet, a couple dozen diaper changes, and Sunday Mass.
At 8:56 pm, I glanced at the clock (I also happened to take a picture of it... ahem)

After a day like today - a normal person would probably do something practical like sleep or at least sit down for a while at 8:56 pm.
I did not sleep. Or sit down. I started applying the glaze in the foyer instead.
Did I finish tonight? Well - there's hope for me yet! I actually decided to finish the main wall and leave the areas over the doorways til I'm awake enough to not fall off the ladder. Uh.. of course instead of going straight to bed after washing out the brushes -- I'm here blogging about the whole thing.
Shameful.
