A couple of hours ago - Dean and "Slim" laid a bed of concrete to support the raised tub and dropped the jacuzzi in place.
Concrete.
Jacuzzi.All that was left at that point was installing the drain kit and the faucet. Ha! Ha ha! No problem right?
Only after everything was in place did we discover that the drain pipe threads were trashed and there was no way to install the new drain kit with the old drain pipe. That means the old drain pipe needed to be replaced... But uhm... getting to the old drain pipe posed a problem.

Sooooo off came the installed panel and the sheetrock underneath... And off went Dean to the hardware store for parts.
In the meantime, we also discovered that the faucet wasn't going to cooperate either -- so I suppose the partial re-demolition of the tub surround was in order.
Since this is a work in progress I'll have to update later in the afternoon to let everyone know whether or not the jacuzzi ever actually got installed today.
