Waveland donations stuck in warehouse

Waveland donations stuck in warehouse: "Thousands of dollars' worth of lumber, cabinets, mattresses, and other donated materials remain unused this week on a warehouse floor in Bay St. Louis.
The materials were donated from across the country, but exactly who they were donated to and where they are supposed to end up is still unclear.
The owner of the warehouse, Jerry Mallon of Anchor Custom Homes, said Monday he only wants to see the materials go to the needy citizens they were intended for, but simply handing over the materials may not be such an easy task.
He said the materials should go to the residents of Waveland, but questions about materials and how they have been handled by officials who solicited them have caused him concern. He now plans to seek a court order to have a lean put against the materials, and he said he wants to see a neutral party decide the future of the materials.
'Its a joke,' Mallon said. 'This stuff is not getting to the people who need it.'"
