Christmas Eve Morning: The Food

Yvonne edges closer to the cheese tray.

Snacks in the new mostly-finished kitchen.

George has that glazed-over 'Hey when do we open presents' look.

Accumulated month's comment :-)

Super dogs, super kids. All cuties. How are the cats doing?

The floor looks wonderful with that darker grout. It looked really nice before, but that is a dramatic improvement.

What's that (green) you have in the punchbowl :-)

lol trudy! It's great that you're reading through the blog - it's giving me a chance to go back and read it myself. There's stuff I had actually forgotten about... :)

The cats are still doing great - the boys are huge handsome things... and our little girl Jo is still perfectly dainty - but she doesn't take any bull from her brothers. The pictures of Cosmo make me a little sad. We quite stupidly weren't aware of all the difficulties of an older dog adjusting to a young puppy. What happened was that our dog Judge became aggressive - not at all with Cosmo -- but with us and the kids. The advice of a local trainer was that it would only get worse as the puppy grew and asserted his own dominance. The happy ending is that we found a young couple in Jackson, MS who were thrilled to take Cosmo into their already energetic family of Australian Shepherds while he was still young and impressionable.
And Judge has returned to his former laid back and loving ways.

Thank you so much for commenting about the grout. The grout-staining was one of the most grueling things we did (my knees ache just thinking about it) and I like to think it was worth it.

LOL The green in the punchbowl is the ol' lime sherbet & 7up recipe. I was too anxious to wait for the sherbet to melt before I took the pictures.
