The Third Annual Great Fourth of July Watergun Fight

Our watergun fight is always a big hit -- mostly because it's so blasted hot outside it's the only sane outdoor activity we can think of... This year was no exception.

Yvonne gets ready. This is serious business.

George launches an attack.

William reloads.

I don't know who Yvonne is shooting at.

Yvonne ambushes William while he's busy reloading at the pool....

William feigns surrender.

Even the photographer is not safe.

Yvonne and her Nana take some time out for bubble-blowing -- another 4th of July tradition around here.

Soo... we ate some watermelon and sweltered in the heat. We had some great fried chicken (Thanks, Mom! It was delicious!) and we sat around for an hour or two to watch the shuttle launch on streaming video just so that the video could freeze at lift-off and we missed the whole thing....

And of course there were the fireworks... But tonight's display deserves a post all to itself, I think. It will have to wait until my camera battery recovers.
