We called Jim King back and he explained that his price was for 140 sheets of drywall. We aren't sure why we need 140 sheets of drywall but he says there will be a lot of waste. I don't think we're going to hire him.
I made an appointment for poor Judge to be neutered on Friday the 28th. He's been getting rowdier these days and I suppose it's time. I'd rather do it now than wait til he's much older. Maybe we can get the kittens and mother cat in soon as well.
Hmm.. Gene Taylor said on the news tonight that they have a bill in the House involving a 'buy back program' to perhaps allow some people to retroactively purchase flood insurance. That would certainly help a lot. I think our back premiums would be somewhere near $15,000 -- but we are much more likely to be able to raise that than the $90,000 it would take to repair and replace everything lost. I don't think this bill applies to us though as I heard something about it only being for those who completely lost their homes. I can understand the need of course - at least we have somewhere to live.
