I called Dish Network to cancel our service. The girl told me that we couldput our service on hold for six months - which I opted to do. She said we could call anytime between now and then to either reactivate or discontinue service. She also said any realignment of the dish would still be at no charge as a service to Katrina victims. Also we will have a credit for $33.62 on our first bill because we recently paid.

GeorgeAnne with Jackson County Anesthesia called. I asked about payment arrangements for anesthesia services when I had Emily. She said we could pay whatever we could afford for now just to keep the account current. We can make formal arrangements later.

I called CableOne for internet services. An installer should be here October 28th between 1230 and 530 pm. The special offer is free installation and six months at a reduced rate plus $5 for modem rental. After six months the price is still lower than BellSouth ever was. So I called and cancelled BellSouth as well. No telephone service - no internet service -- no more BellSouth. We had gotten a cell phone a couple weeks ago from Cellular South - and the plan is so good I am not sure why we would ever get a land line again.
