Emily has finally been baptized. My mom is her godmother - Dave's dad is her godfather. Of course, Dave's dad could not actually make it here and so George stood in his place. He answered all the questions and mostly paid attention -- he did a good job... And it added something special to what would have been a pretty awkward ceremony.
We were supposed to have our marriage blessed today as well -- but, well.. that just didn't work out. The church has flooded and so much is lost. Father says there's a ceremony to go along with but he doesn't have any of his books just yet. He thinks we should wait and so we will. Disappointing though - after waiting all this time. There must be a reason.
