Did We Survive Hurricane Katrina or Not?

The weekend was absolutely gorgeous and a good bit of it was spent outside. We got more of the pine straw mulch laid in the front flowerbeds and Dave managed to cut the grass... but we're still left with more weeding and trimming before things start shaping up out there. Uh.. and it would help if our grass would start coming back as well.

The girls go out for a spin down the sidewalk Saturday morning. You can clearly see Katrina's toll on the sidewalks in this picture.

The guys came by around 10:00 am today and grouted the tub surround and the one tile on the fireplace that had to be reset. They're gone for the day now as we wait for the grout to set. Dean tells me that tomorrow they should be coming back midmorning to actually put the tub in place and whatever else they can do while they're here.

Our painter won't be coming back until Wednesday as he's been out of town for a few days... And we finally got a price on the cabinet doors. There will be a delay in actually ordering them now as the guy who does the ordering is in the hospital at the moment. At least though we know that someone will be making them and at a price we can afford. That's progress.
