Every year our neighborhood puts together a luminary display a couple weeks before Christmas. Last year, it was cancelled for obvious reasons... But someone around here decided this year it should be on again. We weren't exactly in the mood... and honestly we totally lost track of time and were not aware that it started last night until we saw neighbors setting up bags in the fog. I was not feeling well and defiantly declared that we wouldn't participate both nights....
Which means we were about an hour late putting ours out. We hadn't gotten any sand or cat litter to weigh down the bags so we got creative and used what we had lying around in excess:
old grout mix. Of course - with the fog and morning dew our luminaries are going to be grouted to the sidewalk by tomorrow morning.....

It was so foggy last night you could hardly see the luminaries.
Our house isn't quite as elaborately decorated as other years.
