So much has changed in the last few hours I can't even believe it. Just a little while ago a neighbor ran to tell me there was a truck at the end of the street and they had diapers. I couldn't leave the camp stove on so Dave ran down and found out it was one of our neighbors who had a friend bring a semi-truck full of supplies and they were passing it all out to everyone. Dave came home with diapers and water and then went back for more. Baby food and sanitary napkins (whew) and snack food and canned goods. They even brought cots for people to sleep on.

We were so thrilled with our bounty that Mom asked me to try to call her neighbors in Moss Point and ask them if they needed water or anything. But when he answered he said they didn't need water because they had running water AND they had electricity. We screamed and danced at that news.

We have packed what we can in the car and I'm waiting for Dave to finish whatever he was doing so we can go to Mom's house. The air conditioning will be fantastic - but a bath will be even better. We can't take the kitties and the dog with us for this trip, so Mom said we can come back and get them.
