There are other facets to our life besides disaster recovery, home improvement, survival, and children...well actually there aren't. I wanted to record some important quotes from my children before I grow too old to remember them. The quotes I mean, not my children. I won't forget them.
The first two come from Yvonne.
In response to "Hey Yvonne, I see you've captured your animals."; "Noooo, they're not captured. They're just in a cage so they don't run off."
And...
Holding a Weeble, "Mama, Weebles wobble but they don't have legs."
Oh Hasbro, you were on to something with, "Weebles wooble but they don't fall down." but you didn't quite have the knack for slogans that Yvonne has. It's neat that Weebles were born just two days after Anita. I'm sure if I search hard enough I can find a connection there.
The last quote I want to post tonight comes from William when he was about 4 years old (he's 10 now, almost 11). He was playing in the backyard when I walked out to find him holding a toy fish. He was looking at this toy fish very seriously, concerned even, when he said profoundly, "Fish go in the water." He then shrugged and proceeded to toss the toy fish over his shoulder unceremoniously.
Sometime in the future I will post Anita's email to me at work documenting George's discovery of how chocolate milk is made.
