"Paint" or "Why I will be in Traction this Weekend"

It's all because I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to completely finish painting William's room in one day.... But it was so worth it. (I say this now because the pain and stiffness hasn't set in yet - mostly because I'm afraid to sit still for more than 3 or 4 minutes at a time. I'm typing this standing up as a matter of fact.)

But really.. William's room is looking much more sophisticated now. And, yes, that is faux texture yet again. I can't help myself. It's downright addictive. I really have to control the urge to texture everything I can touch with a paint brush.... I can see how folks get carried away with it though - it's simply fun to do (and a great cardiovascular workout, too). I'm grateful to have the boys' bedrooms to play with -- but I'm actually sad that George's will be the last room I ever get to paint unconventionally. *sigh*

For sake of contrast -- I dug up this picture I took in mid-May of our progress on William's room:

I don't know. The improvement is really obvious to me - but the difference may be a bit more subtle for my blog readers. *cough cough*

Left to do here: Paint the doors and trim... Paint and install baseboards... install carpet tile... and replace the light fixtures. Oh and we'll have to paint the closet at some point in our lives but I really don't want to think about that right now. Instead, I shall go to sleep tonight without any terrible closet-painting thoughts. Good night.

I think I see a difference :-)

Looks great. And I think just regular painting is a lot of work.

Anita, I have a little something for you at my spot. I am still working on it, so it might not be quite up yet!
