Arte y Pico

It really made my day recently when I discovered that one of my favorite bloggers, Sandy over at Curly's Corner, had chosen this blog for an award! Thank you, Sandy. I always check out your blog when I need a pick me up - and I'm never disappointed.... There's always a funny story or an extremely cute bunny or something that puts a smile on my face over there.

Arte Y Pico at http://arteypico.blogspot.com/

An award for those bloggers "who nourish and enrich the spirit and creativity. They see dedication, creativity, camaraderie, joy, and above all ART, much art. I wish that this prize is entertaining to all those bloggers who day by day share this space and enrich it a little more each day."

Now - the reason it has taken a relatively long time for me to actually put up this post is that I've been positively agonizing over my choice for the five blogs to receive this award. It's so difficult to pick just a handful.... So I decided to choose those that truly inspire me. And here they are:

Plenty of delicious eye-candy here.
Carla at
Wednesday Wandered

Often poignant, sometimes funny, always timely.
Ruth at
I Will Make Everything New

Stunning glimpses of the place we call home.
Karen at
Photos by Seawitch

Brave gardening & gratuitous cute ducky photos.
El at
Fast Grow the Weeds

Southern culture, recipes, and plenty to see.
Ginger at
Deep Fried Kudzu

Now for the rules:

1) Select 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award, creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogger community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award-winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) The award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show a link of "Arte y pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of the award.

Hey Pags. Thanks for introducing me to some fantastic new blogs! They make me a little wistful for the time I spent down south, even if it was a dark, lonely time.
I still read your blog a lot even if I don't comment all the time! I miss you in the chat!
