In the meantime - our entire yard is a complete disaster. And I feel really guilty sitting in here at the computer while the weeds slowly but surely creep ever closer to the house. Soon they will invite themselves inside for tea. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to wrap a ThermaCare pad on for my aching back (excessive painting...), throw on the sloggers (Yes I still use them, Swapna!) and do something outdoorsy.

Alas, my daffodils are covered in snow and now it is sleeting. It is not spring here in MI. Your flowers are so pretty. I will have to enjoy yours until spring comes here!
Hey lady, how are you? Haven't been into the chat room lately, funny how a newborn totally rearranges your priorities! Just wanted to say I love the photos (Peter is getting so big!) and I finally got Toddler Tactics updated again so I've got your link back up. Stop and let me know how you're doing when you get a chance!
Lime trees aren't evergreen? This is a lime tree, as in citrus tree?
I went looking on the web and got even more confused.
I used to have an orange and a lemon tree right outside my back door in California, sigh.
Yeah trudy.. i think usually they're evergreen where they grow at all. And these are no exception -- but we had a weird cold winter (cold for us) this year and all of our citrus trees lost their leaves and had to rebud. Unfortunately - right after I took this picture we had another unseasonal overnight freeze and all of those buds froze. We had to cut that particular tree back down to the ground :( but there's a baby tree coming back from the roots.
We have a lemon right out the back door!! I loooove my lemon tree. I honestly think the world would be a happier place if everyone could have a lemon tree in their yard. The smell in the morning just can't be beat.
I hear you can successfully grow a Meyer lemon tree in a patio pot... Never tried it - but it sure would make a pretty houseplant in the winter. :)
