Just after getting the girls in bed last night I realized that my paint and glaze for the upstairs bedroom painting project had been opened way too many times to continue holding up.... So I gathered all of my determination and what was left of my strength and worked until 10:30 pm on the two remaining walls.

Okay so this looks just like all the other pictures I have posted so far - but I promise that's a different doorway and a different wall.

And the room is finished! Er.. Well - the walls are finished.. the room is not at all finished as you can see.

After the texturing marathon I passed out cold. At around 3 am I sat up straight in bed with a terrible thought: I never washed out my fancy texturing brushes or paint bucket! By 3 am it was too late to save them though..... I suppose I'll have to buy new supplies when we start on the boys' rooms. Sigh.

All I have managed to do today is get most of the Christmas decorations put into our storage room (aka the unfinished upstairs bathroom) and clean the kitchen 25 times between snacks for the kids.

By way of update: Our guest bathroom toilet is still cracked and still leaking and we're still waiting for someone to do something about it.

Now - with nothing else to report - I'll end the post with some miscellaneous pictures from today:

Christmas stuff.

Neato bamboo rug for the guest bedroom upstairs.... Finishing this room stopped at the rug purchase when we realized we couldn't afford a full sized-mattress set AND Christmas at the same time.

Peter is sleepy! Maybe it would help if he would sleep at night.....

blah my comment was lost! I was trying to say ending with a pic of Peter is dangerous as it makes us forget all about your hard work on the girl's walls...but they look fantastic! Congrats...and if necessary I will mail you my texturing supplies that are still in the unopened packages from when I bought them 7 years ago:P
