I just spent the last six hours....

Battling with no less than 20 feet of fabric.....

The simple instruction "Double and fold fabric the way you would fold a paper fan. Then gently drape fabric over hooks to form a swag" takes on new meaning when the fabric doesn't even fit in a single room in your house.

The good news is that the paint in the dining room did eventually blend and touch-up was finished earlier today. Dave took a little time to replace the missing switch and outlet plates around the room... and, of course, this means I couldn't wait to get the draperies back in place.

As was the case in the living room of course... The draperies had been laundered and folded and stored over two years ago and after all the trauma they didn't care to drape anymore. BUT! After several failed attempts I finally managed to come up with something like a window treatment once again!

A little tweaking and a few safety pins and it'll work.

The bad news is that there are two windows in the dining room. It's also now 1 am and I'm tired. Oh! And it's also cold outside and drafty inside... meaning the dog keeps looking for a nice warm place to sleep -- such as 20 feet of neatly spread out silky fabric on the dining room/living room floor. Soooo... Window number two will have to wait.

Why is it that a critter will curl up on the only thing you need to work on? My two girls (cats) make it a mission to still stay on the bed after you get up so that you can't make it... and if you try they get awful stuffy about it! LOL

On the mousetrap idea, it would definitely get you out of bed right off! LOL! Thanks for stopping by! Please come back often.
