The good news is Emily came home from the hospital mid-morning yesterday. Other than a couple of extra bandaids and a slight cough -- she's completely herself again.
We still don't have a sink though.
A couple guys from Custom Interiors showed up Friday morning and basically stuck the old sink back in place. It looks it, too. It's pretty obvious that the sink was injured during its slip and fall - and now there are uneven gaps where sink meets countertop. We're also not feeling all that confident that this new installation will last considering that the uneven gaps have gotten wider and more uneven over the last 24 hours. But.. it's the weekend.. and no one will be returning our whiney calls til next week sometime. No point in worrying about it now -- just a few more days of making coffee in the laundry room and washing dishes in the master bath.
The bigger problems are over at Mom's house this weekend. The latest is all the more tragic as Mom was spending all of her time helping us survive our last three weeks of unexpected emergencies. (Thank you so much!) It makes me feel sick to think that this happened while she was distracted running between our house and the hospital. So tell me -- What exactly are you supposed to do with a neighbor who sets your fence on fire and doesn't bother to let you know? I'm sorry, Mama.

Thank you Anita... it's great to know little Emily is home again. I felt so bad for her while she was in the hospital with an IV stuck in that tiny arm. So Dave's presence and mine would have made her feel somewhat better.
The fence tragedy makes me fighting mad but the law will not let me fight the way I would want to. lol I would be sorta like a wildcat, all teeth and claws. lol
Emily looks so sweet. And all I can say about the fence man...is he's lucky daddy isn't here...
SO true, Mary!
Holy cow. I guess that answers my question about if the Neighbor from Hell was still around your Mom's.
I had very bad neighbors once. What a stress. What a huge relief when they moved. I hope for your Mom's sake that these people move soon.
Maybe meanwhile she can commiserate with the people on their other side, they must not be very happy either.
