I haven't been nearly as prompt with the home repair saga lately as I would like to be. The fact is - I have been feeling terrible for the last three weeks. It started as a bona fide illness, I think - with fever, chills, and congestion... But as the days passed I didn't feel any better. As a matter of fact -- I felt worse. The congestion did clear up at the end of the first week - but I was left fatigued. Fatigued! More fatigued than I have ever felt in my life. I was going to bed at 8 pm and waking up at 10 am - still exhausted. I found myself taking an impromptu nap around 2pm and another one at 5 pm. Really. I have been sleeping an average of 18 hours a day with no relief.
I woke up feeling inexplicably better this morning. I'm not going to question it -- I have too much to do.

xWhen last we visited our home improvement heroes - they were coming to install the remaining cabinet doors. I was right when I guessed that the doors did not include the drawer facings, shutters, or shelves. However, the vast majority of doors did go into place. Unfortunately, we came up short two doors. I'm told it was either an error in ordering or in shipment - but those two doors simply don't exist. They will be ordered and waited for separately.
We were also recently waiting for our newly hired sheetrock guy to come by and work on the sheetrock for the skylight shaft on Monday morning. However, he wasn't feeling well and couldn't start.... So I'm waiting on him again this morning.
I'm also waiting to hear from Dean & Co. who are supposed to come today with shelves and shutters and prepared to install drawer facings. Today's work is to complete the job -- uh.. except of course for those missing doors.

This is actually making me feel good. I started with a respiratory thing a few weeks ago, and have been being stuffed with antibiotics. (Usually I don't go to the doctor about this stuff, it just gets better in a week or two.}
This is better than it was, but I still feel like the proverbial limp noodle for unexplained reasons. Encouraging that isn't restricted to us older folks :-)
King of frustrating when there is so much to do. Bulbs popping up outside, etc. House torn apart for fixing up stuff, and I have yet to pick out new flooring, which is holding everything up.
I don't know how you have managed to live in chaos for so long, it does get wearing, doesn't it?
I really feel for you trudy!! All of the chaos and when does the day come when you can just sit back and enjoy all the work?
We're in limbo over here right now too so I can really relate... We haven't ordered our tile for the latest project yet... I think we're waiting for some burst of energy from somewhere.
Oh and whatever happened to the occasional respiratory thing hitting.. and then going away? Since when do they linger for weeks and weeks and weeks?
I think I've developed allergies I never had before.
Hope you start feeling better overall soon!
