Barbour Administration and MDA Determine that Many Grants Need Not Be Repaid Scruggs Katrina Group Blog

Barbour Administration and MDA Determine that Many Grants Need Not Be Repaid Scruggs Katrina Group Blog: "We have excellent news — clients of SKG who took part in the recent 640 settlement with State Farm are not required to repay money they received through the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA). This is in large part due to the efforts of Governor Barbour’s office."

Be sure to read the entire blog entry. It also states that the powers that be are working to ensure that lawsuit proceeds do not have to be used to repay SBA loans.

So... does this mean all the folks who had their insurance funds deducted from their MDA grants will be getting another check? Uh.. most likely not.

Most interesting point here -- I haven't seen anything in the local media about this.... If I missed it -- someone point it out to me and I'll correct.
