And there was light

There's not a lot to show for progress on our gameroom project today as the guys are still working on nuts and bolts while they wait for the replacement skylight we ordered to come in. However, there's definitely one improvement that you just can't miss: sunlight!

No windows. Bad outdoor flourescent light fixtures.

No bad outdoor flourescent light fixtures. Big windows in the roof.

The opening in the ceiling is cut out - and the framing completed. Tomorrow the guys will return to start framing the shaft for the skylights and hanging some sheetrock on the wall we moved for the bathroom. In this way - we edge closer and closer to being part-way through a really big project.

In the meantime - Dave and I are painting. Again. More touch up in the master bath this morning... And a decision to make a dramatic color change in the guest bath means we have paint in our hair and under our fingernails. Again.

Drama can be pretty scary in the beginning. I promise this color will look great in this room when it's all done.

Augh why do I do this to myself. It's bad enough I run away from blogging, but I need to learn to keep up with reading yours, otherwise I end up like this...2 am still reading with no end in sight!

Okay so the bathroom and fireplace look fantastic! I am so envious of the jacuzzi, I love the dark brown in the guest bathroom, the sheers look adorable and uhh, holy cow I can't believe you are upstairs working on the skylight and that whole area already. I salute you..no, actually I don't, I bow down before you in all your greatness instead!
Hugs and much love,
MIA swapna!
