A whole week has passed...

Since my last personal post anyway... So I thought now would be a good time to review the last few days of my life for your reading/viewing pleasure.

So here we go - news you missed:

1) Spring arrived. Sort of. Here's proof! Sort of.

Robin red-breast appeared in our front yard.

The grackle soon followed.

2) Emily is now sporting pig-tails.

3) Absolutely nothing happened to the fireplace.

4) We went to Pompeii. (See Mom's blog for more info!)

And this brings us to current events. Currently, we are waiting for Dean or someone to come back from somewhere (he was already here at about 10 am this morning) and work on the fireplace or something. In the meantime - Dave has come home to work on the only working downstairs toilet we've had since the storm -- which, over the last week, has become a non-working toilet.

We plunged a lot this weekend in desperation.... To no avail. Dave came in this morning with a scary contraption he said could be used to clean out the drain.... But it wasn't effective. We finally elected to totally remove the toilet to see if we could find out what exactly is going on.

Right about this time... Yvonne came to ask us if we had seen her lost fish. *raising eyebrow*
We didn't know that any fish had been lost. But once we started counting fish... We realized one was indeed missing.

Hmmmmm..... Of course - if this fish was stuck in the drain of the toilet we had no idea how to get him out.

As luck would have it though -- Dave had a mishap with the heavy, slippery toilet while trying to transport it to the patio for a thorough cleaning....

And Yvonne was very happy to see that we had found her fish... and Surprise!! Her three baby alligators too! Gee.. How'd those get in there?

Dave is out at Lowe's purchasing a new toilet as I type this. You know -- I don't really like Mondays.
