The break is over...

Cosmo is getting settled in now -- and Judge has already decided a puppy is even better than a boring old chew toy. Three out of four of the kids are sick with the usual seasonal gook - so I can't say that things are calm in the household -- but they're somewhat normal anyway.

And with things back to normal -- that means it is time to start tearing stuff apart again. Tonight -- Project: Countertops.

We worked today on removing the existing countertops in preparation for our new countertops actually coming in when we were told they should. (Ha!) We have most of them out of the way now -- except for the kitchen island and one corner near the oven cut-out.

We talked to Dean tonight about the grout and the weatherstripping on our back door. He said he'll be coming tomorrow around noon to look at it all and also to work on the sheetrock behind our sink so that it's nice and level before counters and backsplashes go in.

Maybe this will be a busy week? Maybe the grout will get dirty enough to look like the right color? Stay tuned and we'll find out together.
