Did We Survive Hurricane Katrina or Not?

The painters returned this morning at 8 am. They managed to get the first coat of paint on one upper cabinet before they were taken for another job at 12 pm. I'm only an amateur painter -- but four hours for one upper cabinet seems a bit much. Maybe all the incredible slowness would be more bearable if what little paint is applied looked great... But it doesn't. We're assured that it will look fine after the second coat is applied (and at this rate I'm guessing the second coat will be applied sometime next September....). I would much prefer that the first coat and the second coat both look fine.

In the meantime -- "Jack" has returned yet again with an assistant to lay some more tile in the kitchen.

Tile as of the end of the workday on Friday.
