Making ghost cookies is one of our Halloween traditions.
This year's Halloween was a success. The trick-or-treaters descended upon the neighborhood in vast numbers -- probably not quite as many as some years past... but still enough to make it impossible to get a sip of coffee before the doorbell rang again. We went through $100 worth of candy (at $2 per bag we came up with a decent bucket o'candy) and a jug of fog juice. The kids were all polite... and for the first time in years they all were excited. Maybe the cancellation last year helped them start to appreciate it again.
I'm still recovering from Halloween exhaustion this morning... so I will write no more and just post some pictures:

We tried making some new cookies this year... The ghost cookies are easier.

The holiday cookie mess is a much longer tradition than even the ghost cookies....

William
always really looks the part in his costumes. He wanted to be King David this year - so this is his King David/gladiator costume... He did have a slingshot - so it all worked out.

Then I painted the boys' faces for absolutely no reason at all.
