The Sun Herald | 03/14/2006 | Washington Post dares to suggest that Mississippi is 'looting from Louisiana': "Of all the words the Post might have used to describe the division of federal aid between Louisiana and Mississippi in the aftermath of Katrina, 'looting' must surely be the most insensitive and inaccurate."
And, sadly, I'm quite sure there was no accident in the Post's choice of words either.

I don't even know how to respond to that comment, except to say why does the Washington Post think it has any knowledge of such things without visiting Mississipi and commenting on the devastation there? Besides, if Louisianna isn't complaining why does the Washington Post feel it has to categorize Mississippi in such bleak terms.
Honestly, I know I sound paranoid, but I often think that perhaps razing Mississippi to the ground, forcing lower income residents out, and pushing the coast till they have no recourse but to let big business land developers come in and make the entire area a second Las Vegas is really the big plan behind all the slow response and inability to offer proper help.
The only flaw to that plan has been the moral of the people in Mississippi, their courage to rebuild, and any volunteers who venture out despite having no guidance.
My conspiracy theory grows, and now the Washington Post is part of it.
I'm with you Swapna I felt that from the very beginning. From weather manipulation to secret societies dictating the government...and so it flows on down the line to the media.
And now I will wait for some US goverment agent to accuse me of being a non USA supporter.
*stuff it*
