Progress

I received a request for progress photos this afternoon -- and thought now is as good a time as any to oblige. I hadn't really thought about the fact that I have talked on and on about the progress around here without giving all you visual types something to look at... So here are a few examples.

The living room during the second week of December:

I remember being so excited to take this picture. It had been almost four months then without sheetrock or insulation -- so as soon as we got the walls up and I slapped a coat of primer over them... it just looked beautiful to me.

Here is the living room today:

Next we have my now infamous (only because I posted it everywhere) photo of the hallway leading to the stairs:

It was so depressing walking down this hallway to greet each new day in the morning. I admit it.

But here it is today:

Finally, there is our bedroom where the high-water mark was at its highest... Just having a mattress and bedframe was a tremendous improvement back then...

And here it is today -- so close... so close....

The one I can't wait to post for all the world to see of course... will be the laundry room. I could post a current progress photo now -- but I would rather wait until we have it completed for full effect. So close, indeed!

Anita, the before and after pics were a great idea. One tends to forget how it use to be. You and Dave are to be commended for your tenacity. Well done!
