Blog break

We begin our Saltillo tile adventure in earnest this morning. As a result - we probably won't have internet access for a few days (modem and router are in the laundry room). During this time of blog silence -- I hope you will all be wishing us well in our mortar & grout covered endeavors.

More to come....

Ruh roh! I'm not liking the sound of this! Darn, by now you probably aren't even getting these comment emails, so reminding you to use your camera generously is moot *cry*

Good luck and wishes coming your way anyway!

*hi Swapna* Luba waves!!

Hey Anita, I am good at grouting or oh nooo wait I'm good at grunting LOL when it's tedious work! You'll get it all done and it is gonna be so lovely!

I love those little grouting tools now that can make different designs in the grout but thats tonnes more work and lots more dirt to collect.

Good luck to you and Dave!!

Oh swap - you knew I couldn't make it 24 hours without internet access...

Er.. and Luba - I'd love it if you'd come grout for me. :p You know I think they make you wait 24 hours before grouting simply because they know that if you did it any sooner your back would give out completely and you'd end up in traction... Liability issues, you see.

Keep cheering. And just remember... Once we get the washer & dryer and all the cabinets in place only about 10 tiles are actually going to be visible. :p

Hi Luba! huggles!

Yo Anita, two medals coming your way...you and Dave are champions! Btw, I made my own mortar blender, I just use a paint roller with no covering on it and then roll it around the sides of my bucket to blend and mash!

Good luck with the grout! And omg, I love the little prints in the tiles, and I think you should use the smaller tile with the bottle imprint! Cut a small piece out of the center and make it into a lightswitch cover!
