Walls by CAM

We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the kind volunteers of Christian Aid Ministries for their work throughout our area -- and most recently in our home hanging drywall. Normally we would probably say something like, "We don't know what we would do without you!" But, uhm.. We know exactly what we would do without you -- we would continue living with our stud walls and exposed wiring. And so - thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The crew working on our house this week were all quite pleasant and friendly and we really enjoyed having them here. They left for their hometowns on Friday afternoon and I hope they've made it safe and sound. Next week a fresh crew will be coming in and we're looking forward to meeting them.

If you have a few extra dollars and would like to help CAM continue helping others devastated by Hurricane Katrina, you can find more information here.

UPDATE: The fresh crew arrived bright and early the following week and worked tirelessly for three days to get the rest of the sheetrock hung. Thank you to Amos, Donald, and Steve! Not just for the sheetrock -- but also for the great company. I hope we'll all meet again someday. God Bless you all!
