Midwest States Unprepared for Earthquake - Yahoo! News
I realize that surviving a major catastrophic event can make one a little paranoid -- and maybe that's all this is. I certainly hope so...
But after a couple of days of telling my family that I fully expect a
major earthquake along the New Madrid fault now -- finding this
yahoo! news article dated yesterday doesn't make me feel all that
comfortable.
I simply don't believe that 'news-worthy' items are picked from thin air. It was no coincidence that we all decided to discuss the New Orleans levee system this season.. It was no coincidence that Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson introduced a bill into congress this spring concerning "Weather Modification". And it's no coincidence that our local news is now releasing items concerning preparation for biological attack or radioactive fallout.
I suggest our mid-western friends start buying some good earthquake insurance now..
